Greetings Division A Members!
I hope that you are all having a happy and healthy start to your academic semesters.
Congratulations to our Division A Newsletter Team on their inaugural edition. I’m excited to welcome Linsay DeMartino and Jeremy Visone as co-editors; and Se Woong Lee and Daniella Varela as associate editors. This is the first of the exciting newsletters that this amazing team has in store for us. They have some creative ideas planned to help us all remain connected and to stay informed.
I’m extending my appreciation to Virginia Snodgrass Rangel and Decoteau Irby, Division A Program Co-Chairs, for their coordination of this important work for the AERA Annual Meeting. My sincere gratitude to our section chairs: Liliana Castrellon, John Hall, Kimberly Hewitt, Yi-Hwa Liou, Reginald D. Wilkerson, and James Wright. The entire program planning team has been working throughout the summer putting the steps in place for conference proposal reviews, and they will be working on program development over the next few weeks.
Thanks to all who completed proposal reviews across all of our sections. Then over the Labor Day weekend I asked for your assistance to complete extra conference proposal reviews. Thank you to so many of you who responded immediately. Your dedication and commitment to Division A are truly appreciated. Let’s continue to work together to keep moving our division forward.
