Katherine Cumings Mansfield was awarded the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Education Distinguished Junior Faculty Award, which is presented to one junior faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in the areas of teaching, research, and service. Mansfield was also promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at Virginia Commonwealth University effective July 1, 2017.
